Polyacrylate elastomers are classified by SAE J200/ASTM D2000 to be in the DH (150°C capable) and EH (175°C capable) categories. ACM based compounds are used in products that require excellent heat and oil resistance. This is appropriate as nearly 80% of the acrylic elastomers sold go into automotive components. Polyacrylate compounds can be formulated for applications ranging in temperatures from –40°C to 190°C.
