Hydrin ® Polyepichlorohydrin Elastomers

Hydrin ® T (terpolymer) Series

Zeon Chemicals L.P. has a broad variety of polyepichlorohydrin terpolymer grades available. The monomer compositions are varied to provide and/or enhance many properties. Typically the terpolymer will -- compared to homopolymers and copolymers -- provide lower glass transition temperatures, higher resilience, improved ozone resistance, greater electrostatic dissipative property, and of course a dual cure site. This dual cure site feature provides the compounder greater flexibility in compound design, allowing the use of conventional (sulfur or peroxide) systems as well as those displacing the chloromethyl group in chlorine-type cure systems.

Application areas include fuel hose constructions (this includes new bio-fuel applications), diaphragms, electrostatic dissipative parts such as laser printer rolls and in dynamic or dampening device applications. Many applications that require ultra-low-temperature performance are also an attractive fit. The T6000 grade has low-temperature flexibility down to -62°C.
