Nipol ® NBR Elastomers
Specialty Elastomers -Polyblack
Nipol DN120 is a nitrile rubber-carbon black masterbatch that is recommended for mechanical goods requiring medium-high solvent and oil resistance. The Nipol DN120 is produced in a manner which ensures efficient and uniform dispersion of carbon black in rubber and offers the compounder a masterbatch with the maximum level of black consistent with easy processing for one-stage mixing.

Preplasticized Nipol 1082V has found a primary niche market for making soft 15 to 35 Shore A printing rolls and other low hardness calendered and molded goods. Carboxylated Nipol NX775 is used in high abrasion applications, such as hose covers, oil well drilling parts, high modulus wear seals and premium footwear soles.

The present generation of cold Nipol NBR elastomers spans a wide variety of compositions. Acrylonitrile contents range from 19% to 51%. Mooney values for bale Nipols range from a tough 110 to pourable liquids.

|
Hot polymerized Nipol elastomers are highly branched and are excellent for thin walled or complex extrusions. They are also ideal for solvent-based adhesives. The combination of low gel content and high degree of branching encourages good tack and a strong bond.
